field/offer-checkoutableA boolean per offer in the product_entity, flanked by checkout_payload and checkout_image_urls. Measured since 20 Aug 2026: false in all 182 observed offers, checkout_payload consistently null. The fields exist ahead of the feature — the same order as other rollouts: schema first, switch later.
GPTSpy tracks the share daily (shopping.checkoutable_offer_count / offer_count, state page "Checkoutable share"); the checkout_payload contents themselves are never carried over, only their existence.
For merchants the biggest shift ahead: with instant checkout the transaction — and with it the customer relationship and data — belongs to the platform, no longer to the shop. Anyone watching only utm traffic will notice the change only once it has happened.
